Frequently Asked Questions
What are meta tags?
Meta tags are HTML elements in the <head> section that provide metadata about a page. They control how search engines index your page and how it appears in search results, social media shares, and messaging apps.
What is Open Graph?
Open Graph (OG) is a protocol created by Facebook that controls how URLs are displayed when shared on social media. OG tags define the title, description, image, and type shown in link previews on Facebook, LinkedIn, Discord, Telegram, and more.
What is a Twitter Card?
Twitter Cards are meta tags (twitter:card, twitter:title, twitter:description, twitter:image) that control how links appear on Twitter/X. The "summary_large_image" type shows a large image preview, while "summary" shows a smaller thumbnail.
Is my data safe?
Yes. All tag generation happens entirely in your browser. No data is ever sent to any server.
What is the ideal title and description length?
For Google: title should be 50–60 characters, description 120–155 characters. Longer text gets truncated with an ellipsis. This tool shows character counts and warnings in real time.
Do meta keywords still matter for SEO?
No. Google has officially ignored meta keywords since 2009. Focus on title tag, meta description, and structured data instead. Meta description does not directly affect rankings but influences click-through rate in search results.
What is the recommended OG image size?
1200×630 pixels is the standard for Facebook and LinkedIn. Twitter uses 1200×628. Use 2:1 aspect ratio, keep important content in the center 800×400 area (edges may be cropped), and aim for under 300KB file size.
